WHY USE THIS TOOL?
Most online timers are buried under ads that distract mid-countdown.
This one keeps focus where it belongs: the numbers.
The POP OUT button opens a floating mini window — on Chrome and Edge
it uses the Document Picture-in-Picture API to stay above every
other window, just like a YouTube PiP video.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Can I keep this timer open while using other apps?
Yes — click POP OUT. On Chrome and Edge this uses the Document Picture-in-Picture API for a true always-on-top floating window. On Firefox and Safari a small standard popup window opens instead.
Q: Is this stopwatch accurate?
Yes. Timing uses Date.now() timestamp deltas, not tick counts, so it stays accurate even when the browser throttles the background tab.
Q: Why isn't the pop-out staying on top?
True always-on-top requires Chrome or Edge (Chromium 116+). On other browsers a regular small popup window opens — position it to a corner.
Q: What is the Pomodoro Technique?
Work for 25-minute blocks separated by 5-minute breaks. The 25 MIN preset sets the timer to exactly one Pomodoro interval.
Q: Does this work without signing up?
Completely. No account, no email, no download. Open and start timing instantly.
